screeeeeech.

Did that hurt your ears, too?
Like fingernails on a chalkboard, right?
I apologize. My word count slowed considerably, right down to that screeching halt. Please don't file any suits for hearing/getting-on-your-nerves damage, okay?

It's 11:41pm currently- and even with a 1hr gimme (thank you Daylight Savings), I don't have too much longer to write tonight before I hit pumpkin status. (I have to teach Sunday School in the morning- and I have to be sharp for those kids. Too stinkin' smart they are. Otherwise, I could tempt the pumpkin to stay away a little longer.)

I'm at 14% of my goal. I should have a word count of 21,600 by today, which is about 8,600 off from where I am.

And, while I'm dishing out excuses, it's been an emotional day. I helped a friend (and his family) say a final goodbye to his mom today. I am hurting for them. Cancer is a terribly ugly beast. It's hard for me to believe that I've hit the time in life where parents not living forever, becomes reality.

So for today: (I'll edit it later if needed)
Total Word Count Target: 90,000 edited words
Total Word Count as of today: 13,012
Approximately 14.4% of the goal

NaNoWriMo suggested target (if I were playing by the rules): 50,000
26% of that goal

Reasons ARE allowed, you know. Just do what you can. Praying for your friend!

Still impressive, Lynn. Don't be too hard on yourself. Tomorrow is another day - sending prayers for your friend.
