My poor book had some serious wounds. The kind of wounds that might not be fatal, but left open, could become infected and cause death, amputation, or at least a round of antibiotics. Thankfully, I found some boo-boo balm and a band-aid and all is well.
I also e-mailed an expert on the topic of the novel. I wasn't sure what to expect to come back. I wanted to be sure I was capturing it well, not overlooking anything serious. In return I've had a flurry of e-mails and the woman who started the website is offering whatever help/info she can (which is a wealth) to make sure I get the details of the story related to this topic right.
And in other sort of related news... A friend of mine sent me this link: are you ready to publish your novel? it was pretty funny. Good for procrastinators :)
Back to the book time. I have to be finished early enough today to tidy up the desk I've taken over. My husband isn't too tickled with the towering stacks of papers and books. Need to stay on his good side so I don't get sent to the dungeon to work (my office in the basement-- it's hardly a dungeon, just a lot harder to work down there).
Until next time..
