The frenzied flury of fingers flying has begun! It is that sweetly insane time of the year known as NaNoWriMo!!! There really should be a theme song involved. Maybe I should email Chris Baty about that.
For the next month, you will hear just about nothing from me except on this topic- hopefully only updates on my words-edited count.
Since I can't be bothered to mess with the truer stats- # of words I started with, # of words I added, # of words I deleted-- and all that kind of math-- I will only be using my end of the day total word count minus my original word count. I know it's risky-- what about all the deletions???!!! But it seems the simplest way to figure it out-- and in the end-- I need to know my total word count for my novel and not the number of words that don't exist anymore. I mean really, can you see that? Dr. Agent So-N-So, Attached is the synopsis of my novel. My word count is 92,000 and I deleted 43,000 words from my original novel. yeah. don't think so.
So. For simplicity's sake-- that counter do-hicky over there on the side will be tabulating total daily word count over original word count. I'm thinking it won't get anywhere close to 50K by the end, but this is about striving, not victory-- not this time anyway.
Hasta Luego, Amigos/Amigas. Normal posting to resume in December.
p.s. so tickled that my triple dog dare worked. HA!
