A Pinch of This, A Dash of That

This blogging class has got my mind whirring, buzzing, and spinning about what sorts of juicy morsels I can add to my blog. I want the majority of this blog to be about writing- my path, in particular- about what it's like to hear that call on your life, know it's meant for you, to pursue it in faith, and then to watch the flowers bud and bloom and to see the fruit develop. I can't promise bushels of fruit, but if we get a scrawny plum out of this, I'll be pleased.

In the meantime! You ought to have a sample now and then of some yummalicious food-for-thought, some entertaining bit about my family's antics, or maybe a thought-provoking opinion piece...so... I started thinking-- and this is the result:

Le Spice de Blog:
1st Friday of the Month: Heart Sleeve. If something's been tugging at the heart on my sleeve, you'll read it here. Tissue warning. Often the things that tug at my heart are things that make my eyes wet.
2nd Friday of the Month: In My Opinion. As a writer, it's hard to resist the urge to comment on the news or pseudo-news that is shoved in my face every time I turn on the computer. Once a month I won't resist the urge.
3rd Friday of the Month: Family Shenanigans. As a married woman. As a mother of three small children. As the owner of a cat. There is always some shenanigans around here. Come the third Friday of the month, I'll be posting about it.
4th Friday of the Month: This Just Read. As a writer, it's nearly given I'm a reader, and I love, love, love to talk about great books I've read. Come see what's new on my bookshelf.
5th Friday, when there is one, Reader's Request. If you've got a request, or just want to see what I'm capable of, send me an e-mail or a comment. I'll whip something up just for you!

There you have it folks-- some new spice to both keep this interesting to read and to help keep me writing!

Tell me what you think. Do you like this idea? Are you rolling your eyes at my insanity? Does it sound horrendously boring? Are you freakishly excited about this?

Talk to you soon! (Today is Friday, feature coming shortly.)
