I'm calling it a night. Challenge entry is now submitted, and as always, is a much better piece now that it's been torn limb from limb. I think. What I love about the idea of novels is that you can tell the whole story-- but then, you still have to hack out useless drivel in the range of 10's of 1000's of words, so I guess we're back where we started.
