Step 1. Check.

I needed to go through and analyze what was happening in each chapter, figure out where the plot holes & timeline holes were.  Figure out what was missing.  And, as of about 15 minutes ago, I can check that off of my list.

I got a lovely new program, WriteItNow which is allowing me to do all of my work- which was scattered on papers in scribbles between several notebooks and all over the desk- from the computer screen-- the only hiccup I'm having is with timelines- I can't seem to generate a timeline of events, but that's easy enough to plot out since I have the events entered in time sequence and can see what happened when.

Next up- rearranging & getting the plot tightened up-- deciding what really belongs in each chapter and what needs to go.

I'm sorry the updates are less frequent now, but that's how it will be for a while.

Boring? yes. Productive? yes.  so, productivity is winning over the ho-hum boring state of revision.  In the end, my goal is to have a can't-put-it-down book-- and that won't happen without some healthy revisions.

I'll keep you posted.
