Yesterday was a fruitless day for me and last night was dreadful (up for 2.5hrs w/ a screaming baby) so today- not so much has happened. I have about 350 words to add to my count. I will write a bit more tonight, but I'm packing up for my single day writer's retreat. I'm packing up 2 laptops & 6 batteries because the place I'm going is a literal cottage in the woods with no electricity- there is a lantern & gas fireplace but no electric or plumbing- have to head back to the main house for that. So. no distractions except for the beautiful earth that will surround me. I'm checking the forecast and packing up. I'll bid my generous husband adieu, kiss my babies on the head and be sitting, typing away by 9:30am at the latest, starbucks en route :) I'll be there allllll day. I can hardly wait. I plan on bringing home a hefty-sized file and mega word count to deposit by tomorrow night.
It's only 8:30pm and I'm already exhausted but I'm hoping my babies are just as exhausted and we'll all get some good shut-eye tonight even if I still sit around clicking for an hour or two tonight.
I find myself giddyly responding to the age-old question "so what are you doing?" with "I'm writing a book" silly grin plastered on face. Ah well, nothing a few hundred revisions won't cure :)
