40K but now someone's dead.

Someone I didn't foresee dying has just died and now I'm feeling little blah for my MC. But, as time would have it- I've just crossed the 40k line and I need to make supper- so a good time for a break.

I'm not sure how it's happened but I've managed 2100 words+ today which is shocking-- yay kids for being so good. Which is a relief because tomorrow is out-- a day of running around and packing and getting everything settled for our trip.

So. I go off to make supper satisfied but oddly sad.
